Description

<p>The Veil of Lomenos is a small, exquisitely woven piece of cloth which, in its normal state, is no larger than a handkerchief. The fabric resembles shimmering grey silk that seems to melt into the surrounding shadows. Esoteric runes and mystical glyphs are embroidered in silver thread upon the dark cloth. In one corner there is a silver monogram - a flourished <strong>L</strong>&nbsp;- interwoven with curling wisps of smoke that appear to move slowly across the fabric. The Veil carries a faint, mysterious aura of Illusion magic, barely perceptible even to the most trained senses, and then only with magical aid (such as <em>detect magic</em>).</p><br><p><strong>Powers:</strong></p> <ul><li><strong>Concealment</strong>: When placed over an object or wrapped around something, the Veil of Lomenos renders the object nearly invisible to both the naked eye and magical detection. The effect extends to anything the tapestry covers or wraps, up to the size of a large chest.</li><li><strong>Self-Concealing</strong>: The Veil can fold in upon itself into a near-invisible state, becoming undetectable when not in use.</li><li><strong>Foldable size</strong>: With a command word, the Veil can be folded into a smaller or larger size, up to a blanket and down to almost nothing.</li></ul><br><p><strong>Limitations:</strong></p> <ul><li>The tapestry can only conceal non-living matter. If used to conceal living beings, the effect becomes unstable and may flicker, potentially revealing the concealed for brief moments.</li></ul><br><p>The concealment effect lasts for up to 24 hours after which the Veil requires exposure to moonlight for one hour to recharge.</p>
